The City issues licenses to businesses wanting to operate used car dealerships in Oakdale.
- Before you apply for a used car dealer license, please contact the City Planner at 651-730-2720 to ensure the location where you would like to conduct business is eligible for a license.

- Payment of $400 to City of Oakdale - The City offers a quick and easy way to pay your license online. You may also pay by mail or in person with a check or cash.
Once a completed application has been received by City staff, it will be reviewed by the Licensing Division and the Community Development Department to determine business and zoning eligibility. A report will be submitted to the City Council. Please note that the process may take up to eight weeks.
The license term for used car dealer licenses runs January 1 to December 31.
License holders wishing to renew their license must re-apply annually by October 15.
