Beginning at 12:01 AM on March 10, 2023, the City of Oakdale, Washington County and MnDOT spring weight restrictions went into effect.
Weight restrictions, or load limits, are implemented each spring in an effort to preserve and protect streets that are weakened during the spring thaw by water that becomes trapped below pavement. The weight of vehicles traveling over roads can cause them to bend and potentially crack.
