Win a $100 Target Gift Card! Calling all creative Oakdale residents. Do you have what it takes to create the best snow sculpture in town? If so, head outside any time after a snowfall, and start constructing your masterpiece. All sculptures are judged on appearance, relative to the season’s theme. Preschoolers discuss a nature topic, play themed games, watch videos and create crafts centered on the subject. Children enjoy a snack that is provided during the class. Please dress kids for the weather; Curious Critters like to go on adventures outside! Deadline to register is one week prior to class. $8 per class.

Do you clench your jaw? Experience headaches? The neck, jaw, and shoulders commonly hold tension leading to additional discomforts. Gain relief from a tight neck, jaw, and/or shoulders. Yoga therapy has lots of movement and breathing tools to help release tension so you can experience a more comfortable body. Relieve tension using movements that are both seated and lying on the floor. We will work with healthy breathing and even meditation to help settle your whole body for more overall comfort. Forest Therapy Walks Saturdays, November 5 or 19 | 10 AM to 12 PM | Meet at Discovery Center Firepit Forest Therapy, or “forest bathing,” is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Pigeons as PetsThursday, November 17 | 6:30 to 8 PM | Discovery Center
Come learn about pigeons as excellent, loving, affectionate, intelligent, entertaining, constant companions, family members like a dog or cat, but they can fly. Very inexpensive to buy and maintain. They are becoming quite popular as pets indoors or out. They often live with cats and dogs. They live 15 to 20+ years. Instructor Les Larson has raised chickens, pigeons, and doves for many years.
