Current and Planned Work
Area 1: 46th Street N, 47th Street N, 48th Street N and 49th Street N (From Hadley Avenue N to the East)
- The contractor is currently prepping disturbed grass areas behind the curb with topsoil. All disturbed areas will be restored with sod starting next week.
- Please help water your sod so it grows! The contractor will also water for the first 30 days only. Any sod that is acceptable after 30 days will not be replaced. See the sod care sheet for more information.
- The contractor will begin raising sanitary manholes and water main valve boxes in the street next week.
Area 2: Hadley Avenue N (40th Street N to 50th Street N)
- Curb repair on the west side of Hadley Avenue N started on Monday and will be completed early next week.
- The contractor plans to start lowering sanitary manholes and water main valve boxes within the road next week in preparation for removing the road surface. Please be mindful of the crews working and remember to drive slowly as the crews will be in the middle of the road for some of this work.
- The contractor plans on grinding the existing asphalt road surface of Hadley Avenue N on July 8 and 9. This creates a gravel surface that can be driven on.
- Hadley Avenue N is tentatively planning to get the first lift of asphalt on July 15.
Area 3: Oakdale Nature Preserve Trail Reconstruction
- Work is planned to start after July 8.
Area 4: North Fire Station Parking Lot Reconstruction
- The contractor poured the new concrete slab on the west side of the building and miscellaneous spot curb replacement earlier this week.
- The asphalt on the west side of the fire station will be removed on Friday, June 28.
- The contractor plans to pave the newly removed asphalt portion on Monday, July 1.
Reminders
As construction progresses, please use caution traveling within the project area. Also, please do not park vehicles on the street from 7 AM to 7 PM within the project area unless instructed to by the contractor to accommodate driveway work. This will help the contractor to work more efficiently and will create a safer work zone. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing patience and cooperation.
