Wellness 50+ “Honoring Choices: Advanced Care Planning and Why It’s Important”Saturday, October 20 | 10:30 AM –12 PM | Discovery Center
Talking about end of life care needn't be difficult, especially when all is well. Advance care planning often includes a Health Care Directive - a written document that informs your family and physician of your preferences about life-sustaining treatments and your wishes for medical care in case you are unable to make or communicate your decisions directly. Another approach is a Physician Orders for Non-Sustaining Treatment (POLST). This event should answer any questions you may have about advance care planning and how to start gathering information. Register by calling 651-747-3860. Free.
