In the Streets: ITS TruckThe ITS Truck will be in the streets and at a park near you this summer! The ITS Truck will operate Monday to Thursday with two stops per day. These drop-in recreation programs are FREE, and no registration is needed. Check out the new schedule for 2024!

Horseback Riding at Bunker Park Stable (Ages 8 to 16)Thursday, June 13 | 10 AM to 2:30 PM | Depart and Return at Discovery Center Travel to Bunker Park Stable for a day of riding horses. The trip departs from the Discovery Center and includes horseback ride, barn tour, horse grooming, chaperone and transportation. Participants must be at least eight years old and at least 52 inches tall, no exceptions. You must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (no shorts or sandals). Bring a nut-free bagged lunch. Space is limited. Registration deadline is one week prior to trip. $75. MORE INFORMATION

Tennis CampJune 17, 18, 20 and 21 | 9 AM to 12 PM | Eastside Park Whether your child is a beginner or intermediate player, this program will improve their game and encourage enjoyment from tennis. The program focuses on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded players. Staff will also instill positive life skills such as respect and sportsmanship. KidCreate Studio: Watermelon Slime (Ages 4 to 9)Friday, June 21 | 9 AM to 12 PM | Discovery Center What’s messier than a slice of juicy watermelon? Watermelon slime! Artists will create their own slime that looks like goopy, gloopy, drippy watermelon with seeds and all. Dress for a mess. Please pack a drink and nut free snack for your child. Library Story Time | "Llama, Llama"Wednesday, June 26 | 10:30 AM | Discovery Center A Washington County Youth Librarian will be visiting for a special preschool story time! We’ll have fun talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing together. We will focus on concepts such as counting, colors, sharing, emotions, patterns, and the alphabet. A simple craft will follow. Farmers MarketWednesdays, June 5 to October 9 (No Market June 19) | 2 to 6 PM | Oakdale City Hall Parking Lot Shop fresh and local at the Oakdale Farmers Market for an array of fresh produce, sweets, meats and more from local vendors on Wednesdays throughout the summer. SilverFinn KayakingPaddle locally on one of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes by choosing one of these great upcoming adventures offered by SilverFinn Kayaking.
Kayak Adventure (Level 2) | Tuesday, June 11 | 6 to 8 PM | Lake Demontreville, Lake Elmo Learn basic kayak skills such as paddling. Kayaks and life jackets are provided. Wear shoes that can get wet. Dress in layers. $30 per person per single kayak. Must be at least 12 years old to participate. Register to kayak before the deadline one week prior to class. Strawberry Full Moon Kayak | Friday, June 21 | 7:30 to 9 PM | Square Lake, Stillwater This moonlight paddle includes time on the water and fresh strawberries and lemonade on shore. Kayaks, equipment and life jackets are provided. Bring a flashlight, bug spray, and dress for the weather and water. Wear shoes that can get wet. Park vehicle permit required ($7 daily). $30 per person per single kayak, or $15 with own kayak. Must be at least 12 years old to participate. Register to kayak before the deadline June 14. Jen was most recently the director and founder of YogaFresh in Woodbury, MN from 2007-2023. Her unique offerings have different focus areas and are accessible for all experience levels. Rise and shine with intention. Experience a customizable and dynamic yoga practice designed to build strength, develop balance, and increase mobility and mindfulness.
