Trash Haulers

Collection Required

Residents and businesses need to have trash service from one of the City's licensed haulers. Trash and recycling containers are provided by your hauler. The City has an open hauling system, which means that you contract directly with the hauler of your choice.

Containers to Curb

For collection, please place containers on the driveway apron, behind the curb, in an easily accessible location the night before or on the day of collection prior to 7AM and remove emptied containers from the curb by the end of collection day.

Container Storage

Except for collection, trash and recycling containers must be stored inside, or behind or within five feet of the front of the house or garage. Containers may be stored outside of this permitted area if they are screened from view by City-approved screening. To learn about screening options, please call Building Inspections at 651-739-5150.

Food Scraps Pickup Program

The Food Scraps Pickup Program is available to all Oakdale residents. Any licensed trash hauler in the City will accept Food Scraps Pickup Program bags in trash carts or dumpsters for collection.
